SciLine has two internship opportunities this summer for students at the undergraduate or graduate levels. One will support our program offering on-camera interviews with scientists to local reporters and will include video editing responsibilities and other tasks relevant to broadcast news; that opportunity is posted here. The other will work with our website and communications team, with some research, science writing, and news-story tracking responsibilities; that opportunity is described here.
Both internships are paid, full-time, remote positions lasting 12 weeks between June and September. Both will offer students the chance to learn from SciLine’s team of journalists, scientists, and data and technology experts about the myriad ways science can be integrated into local news stories and the methods SciLine has developed to support the work of journalists in a wide range of newsrooms around the country.
Applications are due by April 11, 2021.
